One wish, hung as one light in the willow, for one fixed price — shown in the app before you pay, in your own currency. It is public, it lasts as long as you want it to, and it comes with a link that is yours to keep and to send to whoever the wish is about.
It is meant to last, and nothing but you can take it down except a breach of these terms. You can take it down yourself at any moment, from Yours in the app, without asking anybody and without giving a reason. The light goes out for everyone straight away and its link stops working. What you paid is not returned — the wish hung, and strangers read it — and that is the only cost of changing your mind.
There is one price and every wish is equal. No tiers, no bundles, no subscription, no account required, and no way to pay more to be seen more — a wish that could be promoted would stop being a wish.
This is the agreement you make before you write. Objectionable content and abusive behaviour are not tolerated here, at all. That means: abuse, harassment or threats aimed at anybody; hate speech and slurs; sexual content, and any sexual content involving children; content that encourages somebody to hurt themselves; impersonating somebody; and posting another person’s private details.
There is no warning system and no strike count. Anything reported that breaks this is removed for everyone within 24 hours, and the person who posted it loses the tree: their wishes come down with it and nothing they write afterwards is hung. If you would not be willing to sign your name to it, do not hang it.
Every wish is checked before it is shown, and anything the check is unsure about is held for a person to read. Most held wishes are hung within a day.
What will not be hung: abuse or harassment aimed at somebody, slurs, threats, sexual content involving children, other people’s personal details, and advertising — links, phone numbers, handles, wallet addresses. A wishing tree that becomes a classifieds board stops being a wishing tree.
If a wish is refused it says so in the app, under Yours, and the price comes back to you. In the phone app the seller is Apple or Google rather than us, so the refund is theirs to issue: we ask for it on your behalf and stay with it until it is done, and if it has not reached you, write to us and it will be put right. You are welcome to write another one.
This app does not send email. Everything you need to know about your own wish is in the app itself, under Yours — whether it is hanging, waiting on a reader, or refused. If that ever changes you will be told here first.
The check before a wish is hung is a filter, not an oracle. If something is hanging that should not be, there is a Report this wish link under every wish in the app and on the site. It takes one tap and asks you for nothing.
Reporting a wish puts it in front of a person, and it hides the wish from your own view straight away — on your device it is gone the moment you report it. What a report does not do is take a wish off the tree for everyone on a tally: there is no number anywhere counting how many people objected, because a wish somebody paid to say should not be takeable down by strangers who merely disliked it. A person decides, and a person decides quickly.
Every report is read and acted on within 24 hours. Anything abusive, hateful or otherwise against these terms comes down for everyone and the person who wrote it is ejected — every wish of theirs comes down with it, and anything they write afterwards is held and never hung. A wish that breaks no rule stays exactly where it was, and its wisher is never told who objected.
Beside Report this wish there is Block this person, which is a different thing and asks nothing of anybody. It is not a complaint and nobody is told: it simply means you never see anything that writer has hung or will hang. Nothing about their wishes changes for anyone else. Because wishes here are anonymous and there are no profiles, no follows and no messages, blocking somebody and hiding everything they have written are the same act — that control does both.
In the app there is a box to write in — "Write to a person", at the foot of Yours and on the panel that appears after you report or block a wish. It goes straight to us and needs no mail app. From anywhere else, fatihturker35@gmail.com reaches the same person.
A wish is delivered the moment it is paid for, so there is no general right of return — the same as any other thing you receive immediately. By paying, you are asking for it to be hung straight away. Taking your own wish down afterwards is always allowed and is never a refund: the light hung and was read.
Two exceptions, and both are honoured without argument. A wish refused in review is always refunded — in the phone app through Apple or Google, requested on your behalf. And if something has plainly gone wrong — you were charged twice, or you paid and no light ever appeared — write to us and it will be put right.
That the wish is yours to write, and that it does not expose somebody else. Your wish stays yours; hanging it gives us only what is needed to show it in the tree, on its own page, and in the card that appears when the link is shared.
A wish may be taken down later if it turns out to break the rules above, or if the law requires it. That is refunded on the same terms. You may take your own down at any time, which is not.
Purchases made in the iOS or Android app are sold by Apple or Google, not by us, and their terms and their refund process apply to the payment itself. Everything above about what is hung, what is refused and what is refunded applies exactly the same.
The app lets you sign in with Apple or with Google if you want your own wishes to follow you to your next phone. You never have to, and signing in buys nothing and changes nothing about a wish: it only keeps the right to your own wishes — to see them, and to say one came true — somewhere other than your phone. You can delete that account from inside the app at any time; the wishes stay in the tree exactly as they were.
Voodoo Wish is offered as it is. The tree will keep changing — how it is drawn, how it moves, what it is built on — and none of that changes the promise that matters: a wish that has been paid for keeps burning for as long as its wisher wants it to, and its link keeps working.
If the tree ever has to come down for good, everyone with a wish in it and an address on file will be told before it does.
From inside the app: Yours → "Write to a person". From anywhere: fatihturker35@gmail.com. A person reads it.
